Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2004 Buick Rendezvous- Video
Today on our 2004 Buick Rendezvous, we'll be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Carrier, part number TH9029. Now with the 2-inch adapter already installed on our shank, we'll slide the shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. This will secure the bike rack to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bike rack measures 11 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle here at the lower hitch switch measures 2-1/2 inches. We'll now go ahead and pull the hitch switch here at the bottom of the mast which will allow us to tilt the mast down. more

Now to begin, our 2-inch adapter has already been installed on our shank so we'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bike rack measures 10-1/2 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle here at the safety loop security point is 4-1/2 inches. We'll now pull the pin here at the bottom of the mast which will allow us to tilt the mast down out of the way. more

Today on our 2004 Buick Rendezvous, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex Swing 4 Bike Carrier, part number TH9027. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch. Line up the hitch pin hole and allow the integrated locking hitch pin to fall into place here in the hitch pin hole. We can then move to the anti-rattle knob where we'll tighten it down, securing the bike rack to the vehicle. At this point, we'll give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bike rack is 11 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack here at the anti-rattle knob to the back of the vehicle measures 1-1/2 inches. more

Today on our 2012 Buick Enclave we will be test fitting the Thule Parkway 2 bike carrier part no. TH958. We'll simply install the bike rack shank into the hitch, we'll line up the hitch pin hole and insert our anti-retal bolt where we can then tighten it down with the ranch. With the bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance with this bike rack is 17 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the bumper is about half an inch. We'll now go ahead and attempt to gain cargo access, we'll remove the pin and lain here and fold the bike rack down, we can then open the cargo door and as you can see we can gain full cargo access with this bike rack. more

Today on our 2012 Buick Enclave we will be test fitting the Thule double track platform style bike carrier part no. TH990XT. This bike carrier can be used with both inch and 1/4 and 2 inch hitches class 1 through class 3. To begin our test fit we will insert the bike rack shank into the hitch line up the hitch pin hole and install our anti-retal bolt and that will secure our bike rack to the vehicle we can give you a few measurements. There are 16 and 1/2 inches of ground clearance with this bike rack and it is 3 and 1/2 inches from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle in the stored position. There is 27 inches of overall length added to the vehicle with the platform down. more

Today or our 2012 Buick Enclave, we'll be test fitting part no TH9025 the Thule Apex 4 bike carrier. A quick note on this bike rack, it will fit both inch and 1/4 or with the included adaptor a 2 inch hitch class 1 through class 3. However if using it in a class 1 hitch you are limited to 2 bikes. We begin our test fit by installing the bike rack shank into the hitch. We will pull our intergrated locking hitch pin and as we slide the shank into the hitch the pin will slide in place. We can then tighten down the anti-retal knob to secure it to the vehicle. more

We will then put the safety pin on the other side of the anti-retal bolt which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle and then we will go ahead and give you some measurements. Our ground clearance with this bike rack is 19 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches. more

Quick not on this bike rack, it will fit both inch and 1/4 and 2 inch hitches using the included space block. We can then tighten it down with a wrench. With our anti retal bolt tight, we will install the safety pin on the other side, this will secure the bike rack to the vehicle. more
